Another bummer state for casinos and gambling (not even a state lottery). For reasons unknown Hawaii has a distinct lack of gambling... No casinos, no lottery, no racing to bet on. BUT the beaches are of course out of this world. So what is missing in your gambling fix is cured by relaxing on the beach, taking a swim and sipping a cocktail. What we did instead of listing casinos was to list the nicer all-inclusive resorts. Check them out below.
Makena Resort This is an incredible resort - one of the ones you see on TV and wish you could somehow get to. Here you are treated like a real honored guest. You will be greated with leis and chilled with oshibori face towels on arrival. The coffee in the rooms is Kona. There is an onsite 18 hole golf course. Beach goers could not ask for more as the resort is situated on one of the nicest beaches in Hawaii. Large enought to handle most large functions. Great deal.
